CURATORIAL PROGRAM

The Fifth Corner commissions one visual artist per issue. Each issue presents a cohesive body of work created in conversation with the selected stories.

We are interested in artists whose practice engages atmosphere, restraint, and the uncanny.

Honorarium

We commission six works per issue. Selected artist receives CAD $180 per work.

Rights

Artists retain full copyright of their work.

The Fifth Corner acquires the right to publish the commissioned artworks in digital and print formats, as well as for promotional use related to the issue. No royalties are paid. All other rights remain with the artist.

Original Works

In select cases, The Fifth Corner may offer to purchase original artworks for its physical archive. This is entirely optional and separate from the commissioned honorarium.
