The Fifth Corner Press is the book publishing arm of The Fifth Corner.

Founded as an extension of the journal’s editorial vision, the press is devoted to a small number of book-length works in dark literary fiction, horror, and the uncanny.

While The Fifth Corner Journal publishes short fiction in quarterly issues, The Fifth Corner Press is dedicated to longer forms, including novellas, novels, and story collections that align with the aesthetic and editorial values of the journal.

The press will publish selectively, with an emphasis on curation, design, and permanence.

The Fifth Corner Press is currently open to submissions.

We are seeking literary novellas, novels, and story collections for publication consideration.

We are particularly interested in work that is ambitious, emotionally resonant, and formally confident. Literary fiction, speculative fiction, dark fiction, horror, and hybrid works are all welcome.

As The Fifth Corner Press intends to publish only a small number of carefully curated titles each year, submissions for Founding Reading Period 2026 are limited and may close before the advertised end date.
