Lyndon Polan created a series of graphite studies in dialogue with each story. Rather than illustrating plot, the drawings evoke atmosphere and interior tension.

Lyndon Polan is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. Trained in Paris, Amsterdam and Biarritz, he developed a methodology centered on translation between mediums. His process often begins with digitally constructed images that are later reinterpreted through drawing and painting, where the precision of the screen encounters the fallibility of the hand. Subtle distortions and material irregularities emerge in this shift, functioning as traces of transformation rather than errors.
Working frequently in series, Polan creates images that suggest quiet narrative continuities. His practice is deeply informed by lucid dreaming and the study of the subconscious, drawing on both personal dream experiences and theoretical influences such as Jung and Freud. Through drawing in particular, he investigates the unstable space between clarity and ambiguity, wakefulness and sleep. His work invites viewers into atmospheric, psychologically charged worlds where meaning unfolds gradually and collectively.
Published in CROYDS Vol.1 (2025) and the Art-Cible JPEG series, his practice circulates between print and exhibition contexts internationally. He has exhibited in Canada, France, Japan and the Netherlands, with upcoming presentations at Teshima ShinAiKan AIR (Japan, 2026) and Foire Parallèle (Montreal, 2026).
